Sorrels
Sorrels belong to the dock family and thrive in acid soils. Sorrels have deep tap roots which are best removed by hand. The common sorrel may be found in neglected lawns but is rarely a problem in well maintained lawns, though the plants do produce enough low-growing foliage for them to withstand occasional mowing.
